  • Einan's Funeral home, and our director Mike Dotson and the staff were absolutely wonderful in helping while I was in shock. They treated both me, and my loved one, with absolute respect and care, acceding to my wishes and helping me to begin the process of grieving. They didn't push or try to force me in any direction, but helped me to understand the ramifications of decisions that had to be made. They have continued to do so as I have become more ready to move forward.

  • Einan's went above and beyond to assist us in planning my Dad's service. We mentioned to the Funeral Director our plans to take my Dad's ashes to his favorite ocean beach this next summer. When my Dad's ashes were ready for us to pick up, Einan's staff member Charlie had so kindly provided us with glass bottles, paper and pens to write messages to our Dad. She also included extra glass jars for us to collect sand for remembrance of our trip. It was clear that she had taken extra time and careful planning to provide us with such beautiful, one of a kind mementos. The entire staff was wonderful, professional, so very kind and courteous. Thank you to all who assisted us.

  • My uncle Mike had passed and was there for a viewing before being creamated. His 20yr old son left to make all of the arrangements. We had some miscommunication somewhere and I showed up, from about 2 hrs away, with only a small window before I had to head back. These guys, though short staffed, made it possible for me to still see him before I had to leave town again. They were very flustered, I could tell, but did everything so that I could say goodbye. I can't thank them enough for that.

These people made one mistake after another in the handling of the cremation of my mother. They also lied to me more than once. First of all they told me that the law required that the death certificate had to be signed by the doctor BEFORE they could cremate mom and after being unsuccessful at getting a doctor's signature due to their failing to follow-up with the request they then told me that they could list the cause of death as "pending" on the certificate and could then proceed with the cremation. They also dropped mom's urn and dented it and wasn't going to replace it until I complained. They then said they ordered a new one and it would be in the next day. The next day came and then the story was that they had placed the order too late and it hadn't arrived but it would be in the next day (today). I went in there today and guess what. They didn't have it. They gave an excuse that something was wrong with it but didn't show it to me. I don't think they had one.

The bottom line is I will never trust them again. They lied to me more than once and they bungled their duties. I'm not really sure that I have mom's ashed in the container that I have. I'll never be sure.

Update: Today I received the replacement urn complete with a small scratch on it which I accepted. They also had three certified copies of the death certificate for me. Upon review I noted that the death certificate showed the date of cremation as April 24, 2015! Next Year! I gave them back and told them to mail me the correct ones. I don't want to see any of them ever again.
